Social establishes creative consultancy with curious new venture

Purpose-driven communications group, Social has announced the rebrand of its creative division to operate as a dedicated consultancy.

Part of Social’s integrated family of specialist consultancies, for the curious, the new brand for Social’s creative arm, shares the group’s common purpose of telling stories, engaging people and improving lives.

The new venture’s “constantly curious” approach aims to challenge the conventional in developing meaningful creative, digital and video content that makes a difference.

On the back of celebrated work for clients including UK Sport, The National Lottery and the award-winning George Clarke’s Council House Scandal, the eight-strong team will bring its design, video, social media and digital services to a range of clients looking to tell their story in a different way.

As brands emerge from a turbulent two years with the need for clear and compelling purpose more acute than ever, for the curious aims to help brands find their authentic voice, solve problems and create imaginative content that connects.

Social’s Head of Creative, Zoe Tatton, will lead the new venture, taking on the role of Director of for the curious.

Zoe said: “We wanted to launch a business unit that uncovers new ideas which not only speak to brands’ mission or purpose, but make a genuine positive impact on their customers.

We want to work with those brands that are genuinely trying to make a difference, but willing to be brave, ambitious and imaginative in how they go about it. This requires a real understanding of what they stand for and an unrelenting hunger to understand more.”

John Quinton-Barber, founder and group CEO of Social, added: “Ever since we were formed in 2013, we have actively chosen to work with brands that reflect the social and environmental values that many consumers are searching for. And with the ever-changing landscape and the need for more data and insight-led communications, the launch of for the curious is a natural step on our journey. I am extremely proud of Zoe and the team as they embark on what I know will be a very successful venture.“

for the curious becomes the eighth business unit in the Social integrated family of specialist communications consultancies following the addition of Social Net Zero, Social Tech Communications and a new Liverpool office in 2021.

Founded in 2013, Social prides itself on meaningful work that improves lives and makes a positive social impact.
