Senior Social Media Executive

Based in our Manchester office and reporting to our Group Social Media Manager, we’re looking for someone with an analytical mind and sharp attention to detail, who is comfortable with reporting and excellent at offering insight into results.

You should live and breathe all things social media and will be accountable for supporting the wider social media team with day-to-day client planning and activity. This role will encompass full social media management with a specific focus on paid social media and social listening.

Because paid social will be a large part of this role, it’s vital that you have 2-3 years experience activating, optimising and reporting on paid campaigns across a variety of platforms.

Experience using social listening tools and examples of significant data analysis is also highly desired.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Managing and optimising paid social campaigns for both external clients and internal campaigns
  • Ongoing campaign optimisation – adjusting bid levels, altering targeting and refreshing creative
  • Taking recommendations on budgets, KPIs and target audience
  • Monitoring social media tools, trends and applications and ensuring these are reflected in client social plans
  • Develop and deliver long and short-term social media campaigns and initiatives
  • Participating in team brainstorms to come up with innovative ideas for social media
  • Undertake research in order to give insights into new or existing markets, new social channels and competitor activity

Key qualifications, skills and experience:

  • An expert understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat and TikTok (front and back end)
  • 2-3 years of Paid Social Media campaign experience with proven experience of Facebook Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • A strong strategic mind, able to support the Group Social Media Manager with campaign and activity planning
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Experience using social listening tools such as Pulsar, Synergy or Crimson Hexagon (desirable)
  • Facebook Blueprint certification (desirable)
  • Have an eye for great design and an innate understanding to recognise good content
  • Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • First class written and verbal communication skills
  • Work to tight deadlines with a can-do attitude
  • Personable approach, able to build strong working relationships with colleagues across different locations and with clients
