Account Manager / Account Director

Working directly with the Director of Social Tech Communications, the Account Manager/Director will help lead a range of client PR accounts across the technology and B2B space, as well as play a central role in the division’s business development activity.

This is a new and exciting role within the business and offers ambitious PR and Communications professionals with a passion for tech and B2B the chance to help shape a fast-growing division within an award-winning integrated agency.

Role and responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management and delivery of a portfolio of client account work, including relationship management with clients, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Supporting the Director on business development
  • Awareness of commerciality and regular contribution to improved commercial performance
  • Write high quality content across the entire communications spectrum, including press releases, thought leadership and blogs
  • Oversee client campaigns and projects, making recommendations for activity that will enhance client outcomes
  • Lead on proactive and reactive media activity and sell ins in order to generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum
  • Plan and implement impactful PR strategies and plans aligned with client business and marketing objectives
  • Report back on, analyse and professionally evaluate PR and communications campaigns

Key qualifications and skills

Ideally you will be:

  • Passionate about tech and B2B storytelling with strong writing skills
  • Around 4 years’ PR agency experience
  • A strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with clients and media
  • Experienced in writing for a range of PR purposes, including press releases, reports and thought leadership
  • Able to successfully place stories within a broad range of media
  • Enthusiastic and keen to take the initiative in order to drive results for clients
  • Ambitious and driven – you’ll want to really make an impact and support in the growth of Social Tech Communications
  • Organised and able to deliver client work to a very high standard and to deadline
  • Focused on client delight and relationship building
  • Happy to be a key part of a small team but also keen to engage with colleagues across the wider Social group
  • Team player
  • An established Account Manager/Senior Account Manager ready to take the next step into Account Directing or an Account Director looking to join a fast-growing, ambitious agency which places employee and client delight at its heart


  • Around 4 years’ experience working within a PR agency
  • Proven ability to deliver results for B2B and/or tech clients
  • Experience as an Account Executive/Senior Account Executive/Account Manager


  • Account Director c£36,000
  • Account Manager c£28,000
