Account Executive

Our South West team is looking for an account executive to support our team with PR, campaign and community and political engagement work. This is a multi-faceted role that will suit someone who is looking to develop as an all-round practitioner in one of the country’s fastest-growing agencies.

The role will be a crucial member of the team working across a portfolio of clients. We’re on the lookout for people with ideas, who will build great relationships with clients and stakeholders and want to develop their knowledge and understanding of local and regional politics, the planning, development and housing industry, PR and community consultation.

You will have strong copywriting skills and knowledge of digital tools including social media – as well as a real willingness to take ownership of projects and tasks within a supportive team environment.

You must be highly organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks as day-to-day responsibilities will include media monitoring and analysis, building and maintaining community, political, media and industry contacts, creating content, liaising with clients, stakeholders and the media, contributing to social media, planning and researching to generate new ideas for clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting consultation and engagement work with local communities including creating content, liaising with stakeholders and event management
  • Monitoring national, regional, local, online and trade media, as well as political news sources
  • Researching and supporting the creation of client reports, analysis and stakeholder briefings
  • Creating written content including newsletters, information boards and media releases
  • Managing databases and stakeholder correspondence
  • Collating, analysing and evaluating consultation feedback, data and media coverage
  • Assisting with research for new business proposals and developing an understanding of the commercial context of the business
  • Building and developing relationships with political, community and media stakeholders and industry contacts

Key skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to adapt style for different audiences
  • An interest in current affairs and politics, particularly at a local and regional level, town planning, regeneration and/or development
  • Passion for inclusive communication and an interest in how this can be used to support our clients
  • Creative thinker
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Strong organisational, time management and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
